Ambitious goals achieved on time
Debrunner Acifer AG is part of the Debrunner Koenig Gruppe, a Swiss subsidiary of the international company Klöckner & Co. It offers a wide range of products and services in the fields of steel, metal and civil engineering, water supply, building services, plumbing supplies, fastening technology, tools, machinery and occupational safety.
In the course of centralising its sawing operations at the Birsfelden site, Debrunner Acifer AG planned a high-bay warehouse with integrated sawing cells.
Cost reduction thanks to alternative solutions
Because we were commissioned with the entire structural engineering, the interfaces could be reduced. The customer had a competent contact person in us who pointed out alternative solutions and achieved a cost reduction.
By integrating lean construction and lean logistics elements, we were able to complete the automated high-bay warehouse on time despite very ambitious goals.
In total, 260 tonnes of cold-rolled and 70 tonnes of hot-rolled steel were used in the high-bay warehouse.
